Our History
Founded by our visionary leader Mr. Ben Tuinei, we began canvassing the states to share our passion about the importance of maximizing PPO Insurance Revenue in 2008, we may not have understood the impact that the message would have on the everyday lives of the dentists whom we served. Since then, it’s been an honor to shake the hands of hundreds of dentists just like you, and we can honestly say that there is nothing we enjoy more than hearing about a PPO success story!

Our President, Mr. Benjamin Tuinei
Mr. Tuinei began his dental career in 2007 while working for a small dental corporation in Phoenix Arizona managing all insurance related functions. During his first few months, he created systems and operating protocols and restructured a 12 person billing department that improved collections from a low 65% to 98%. At the same time, Mr. Tuinei learned how to effectively negotiate with 3rd party payors that gave a boost in annual insurance related revenue of nearly 1 million dollars for a team of only 10 general dentists. Mr. Tuinei’s early experience in negotiating with 3rd party payors caught the attention of other large group practices and hundreds of solo dental practitioners in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Idaho and Colorado. Consequently, he unintentionally discovered an under-served section of the dental industry: 3rd party payor negotiating (aka insurance fee negotiating). Mr. Tuinei opened Optimum Dental Solutions in September 2009 to serve the needs of dentists who were actively seeking assistance in improving their insurance reimbursements. On May 1, 2015 Veritas Dental Resources purchased Optimum Dental Solutions. Mr. Tuinei currently serves as a managing partner and President of Veritas Dental Resources.
During its first 2 years in operation Optimum Dental Solutions contracted with over 400 dental practices influencing a combined $10 million in additional annual revenue increases by implementing Mr. Tuinei’s proprietary PPO optimization strategies and effective 3rd party payor negotiating. To-date, Mr. Tuinei has worked with over 5000 dentists influencing over a billion dollars of newly negotiated revenue for his clients.
Mr. Tuinei is going on his 18th year as a professional public speaker and frequently speaks at study clubs and dental conventions nationwide.
He currently serves as the President of Veritas Dental Resources, Chairman for Optimum Dental Marketing and sits on the Advisory Board for The Dental Business School, Business Ownership Mentoring of America, The Dental Leadership Academy, Utah Dental United, and the Group Practice SUMMIT.
Mr. Tuinei has been recognized by several state Dental Associations and various dental study clubs as “The Authority” on PPO strategies and PPO fee Negotiating. He currently resides in Lehi Utah.
Our Vice President for Client Relations, Jordan Ika
Interested in dentistry from an early age, Jordan started his schooling with the intent of becoming a dentist. He labored diligently and excelled in his courses at Brigham Young University earning high marks in his coursework. His rigorous classes taught him strong critical thinking and helped him appreciate the rigor of coursework practicing dentists need to develop and perform their skills at high levels. Upon completing the DAT, Jordan started shadowing dentists. It was during this time that he realized the performing of dentistry wasn’t for him, but that he very much enjoyed working with dentists and their staff.
Jordan began his career in dentistry in 2014 working in practice management, mergers, and acquisitions. It was during this time that he met and partnered with Ben Tuinei. Under Ben’s mentorship, Jordan quickly learned the process of negotiations, optimization of contracts, and has developed expertise in PPO restructuring.
Although starting as a receptionist, Jordan’s keen abilities helped him rise to more leadership responsibilities within Veritas, serving as Director of Operations, VP of client relations, and Chief Operations Officer. Jordan takes pride in optimizing Veritas’s systems to meet the demands and rigors of a constantly evolving PPO landscape. His greatest satisfaction at work is helping clients understand and capitalize on the plethora of choices available to them in contract optimization and restructuring.
Our Director of Operations, Myles Tantia
Myles has been with Veritas Dental Resources for more than 9 years.
She took up BS Information Management in college. Myles also has had extensive years of experience and background in the Business Process Outsourcing industry particularly in finance, retail and service accounts for huge companies such as Earthlink, Sprint/Verizon, Netspend Debit, Paypal, eBay, Barclays UK, and Barclays US. Eight years of which was a solid experience in supervisory and management roles.
Her exposure in the field led to her employment as Veritas’ President’s all-around Virtual Assistant back in June 2014 when she decided to quit the corporate world and start working from home. From her main role of being an Insurance Liaison and the trusted overall leader of the team, she has now been functioning as the Director of Operations since her appointment in May 2021. She is now leading two LOBs under VDR and is working closely with the leadership teams to run a smooth and successful operation.
Myles has always believed that if you love your work, your company and the people you work with, it would reflect positively in the quality of your work. With this, it has always been her goal to build and keep a positive working environment for everyone.
Our Client Liaisons Department Lead & Quality Specialist, Darryll Jon Biscaro
With years of teaching experience and administrative work, DJ’s variety of skills has helped him a lot with his current role as the Department Lead of the Client Liaisons Team as well as being the Quality Specialist. Starting out as an Insurance Liaison for Veritas, he has since then grown and learned to become a key contributor to the entire team.
His motivation stems from passion and genuine dedication to any work that he does, and this is the attitude that he would like to rub off on his teammates for them to develop as well. Armed with eagerness to learn, willingness to help, and high value for amiableness, he tries to ensure that work does not become a burden to anyone, but a blessing rather–an opportunity to improve and a means to maximize one’s potential.

Rose’s diverse background spans numerous disciplines, from planning large-scale events to serving as a global corporation’s Customer Service Representative and as an Executive Assistant. Her extensive experience has allowed her to hone her skills and develop a versatile skill set. Her tireless work ethic and ability to juggle multiple tasks are a testament to her unyielding spirit. Before Bryan’s tenure at Veritas Dental Resources starting in November 2014, he acquired over a decade of valuable experience in the BPO industry, laying a strong foundation for his current role. Bryan began as a Data Entry Specialist, handling the different credentialing forms for the different dental offices and doctors. He then transitioned into an Insurance Liaison role, adeptly handling communications with various insurance providers.
Following his role as an Insurance Liaison, Bryan resumed his position as a Data Entry Specialist, consistently upholding high standards. Today, he proudly serves as the Department Leader for the Data Entry Team, utilizing his extensive experience to support his team and uphold Veritas’ commitment to excellence.
